Course Overview

This course introduces learners to the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) and explains how dangerous substances can create fire, explosion and serious injury risks. Learners will explore hazardous atmospheres, ignition sources, zoning principles and risk control measures. The course supports awareness of dangerous substance management in workplaces where flammable liquids, gases, vapours, dusts or explosive atmospheres may be present.
