Course Overview

This course provides learners with an understanding of the hazards associated with excavation work and the measures required to prevent collapse, burial and injury. Learners will explore ground conditions assessment, support systems, edge protection, underground services, safe access and competent person responsibilities. The course supports compliance with CDM Regulations and HSE excavations guidance.
