Course Overview

This course provides learners with an understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and the importance of controlling hazardous energy during maintenance, repair and servicing activities. Learners will explore the types of hazardous energy, isolation methods, lockout device requirements, authorised worker responsibilities and the risks of unexpected machine startup. The course supports safe working practices in engineering, manufacturing and maintenance environments.
