Course Overview

This course provides learners with a practical understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) and its role within workplace risk management. Learners will explore the different categories of PPE, when PPE should be used, its limitations and the responsibilities of both employers and employees. The course emphasises that PPE should be considered a last line of defence within the hierarchy of controls and explains how correct selection, fitting, inspection and maintenance contribute to effective protection against workplace hazards.
